Step By Step Commision Piece

This blog post is showing the process of creating a commissioned original painting for a collector who wanted something specific for their home collection. It was such a joy creating this special piece for them. Below is a few photos from start to finish.

This is the very first layers of paint applied to the canvas after applying the first layer of Gesso. This stage is just creating the background. More layers will be added.

This is after another few more layers have been added. Still lots more to do and details to add.

Getting closer to being finished. Filling up the canvas and creating movement with mark making.

This is the final finished piece. All finished and ready to be delivered to the client!
