Inspiration: This painting was inspired by my own personal experience when it comes to my own self-betrayal. For so many years I have betrayed myself from within when it comes to following my heart and being true to myself. In the past I would bury that inner voice of mine with negative self-talk and toxic destructive behavior that only hindered my growth. I wanted to create a painting that shows you that even if you have made the wrong choices in life that you can still turn it around and have a beautiful life that is worth living. It is scary to follow that inner voice you have within yourself because you can feel all alone at times, but I promise you to live a life that you end up looking back on with regret will be a lot scarier.
