Inspiration: This painting was inspired from all my preconceived notions of what my success as an artist is supposed to look like. I am a person who likes to control everything as much as possible and because I like to have control over every little aspect of my life it often times leads me to have severe anxiety and fear that things aren’t working out. I have come to realize over the years as a professional artist that some things are just out of my control and that the only thing I can control is the work. I can control how often I paint and how often I execute daily on my dreams. How the success turns out is out of my control so now I just paint like my life depends on it because it does. Let this painting be a reminder to you that if you’re doing the work on a daily basis and putting in consistent effort and energy then it is ok to let go.
