Inspiration: This painting does not have a intriguing origin story. I could make something up and lie to you about why I created this piece and try to attach some special artificial meaning behind it but I have always believed in speaking the truth through my artwork so I would never do that. The truth is that I was on my way to the local paint store one day to pick up some supplies and the owner there had some samples of this flat matte paint that I have never used. They asked me if I would like a couple sample packets to try and of course I said absolutely. Once I got to my studio, I wasn’t sure how i would incorporate them into my current work so instead I decided to have fun and play with them, and this is what I created.
