Inspiration: I was inspired to create this painting because of my constant comparing and contrasting of my life with the life of others. Being a professional artist there are many times where I feel like I am falling behind from the majority of the crowd because I don’t have the same things that everybody else seems to have in this lifetime. I tend to compare my material possessions with others as a measure of success. I am here to tell you that is so wrong to do. Materialistic envy only causes unnecessary pain and anxiety because at the end of the day materialistic objects mean nothing and have no bearing on us as human beings. I may not have many of the same thing’s others have but my soul is still intact and I get to wake up every single day living my dream doing what I am put on this earth to do.
